survivalseed vaultI think it’s about time for a giveaway, don’t you?  The fantastic folks over at Eartheasy.com think so, too.  Eartheasy has a huge selection of preparedness products available.  And their gardening supplies are awesome as well!  For this giveaway, we’re giving somebody’s garden a kick start with a Survival Seed Vault.  This seed vault contains twenty different varieties of non-GMO, open pollinated, heirloom seed varieties.  Perfect for getting a garden started that you’ll be able to collect your own seeds from.  Even though these are packaged for long term storage, I would recommend getting them out next spring and planting some!  Get some of the seed saving learning curve out of the way.  And if you’re looking for a good book on saving seeds to go along with your seed bank, check out Seed to Seed.  Detailed instructions for collecting seeds from more plants than you knew even existed.  Really.

  50. Wow, hard to pick only one from their fantastic list of great products. I will say LIFESTRAW ( as I do also of backwoods hiking and carrying water is an extra weight). The SWEDISH FIRE KNIFE is also a valuable tool to have also.

  52. jeeze! where do i start. want the life straw, actually i want 2 of them. one will be a gift for my son,
    a dehydrator is my most wanted item at the moment!!! have plans to buy one this fall.
    and a berkey water filter system in on the christmas list this year. one for me and my daughter who lives at home and one for my son.
    there are so many things that are on my wish list. number one is money so that i can get all the others!!! LOL
