After canning with the Tattler Reusable Canning Lids last fall and more this year, check out my reusable canning lid update post on Utah Preppers today.
I’ve got some fun product reviews still coming up, so stay tuned.
Keep preparing! Angela

I asked the guy at our family-owned, mercantile-like business if he could carry these. He told me no one would buy them. So, I will approach Lowe’s. I don’t think I can afford shipping prices. Otherwise, I would just buy through you. I think reusable is a great idea.

What is the best way you have found to mark the date?
Angela says
I’m using a little return address label on them, but I don’t know that it’s the best way. The clear labels come off pretty nicely in the wash, but the paper ones are leaving some stickiness. Someone suggested a grease pencil or chine pencil from an art supply shop–it holds up through the water bath canner, but will wipe off with a soft cloth. I’ll have to look into those pencils. Or maybe marking your jars somehow instead of the lid.

This is great. I’m not big on canning so this is the first time I’ve read about them. I am just getting into it in a much bigger way. Thanks.
