Easy cooking meals like the ones at The Storage Room are great to have in your food storage for those days when you don’t feel like cooking or need something that is fast so you can spend your energy on more important things. I got to try out the Hearty Potato Soup and freeze dried bananas and strawberries, and really enjoyed them. The dry soup mix came in Mylar packaging with a tear strip and zipper seal to reseal it after it was opened. I liked that the instructions were for using a small portion of the bag instead of cooking the whole thing. Then you can multiply it by the number of people you need to feed and save the rest for cooking another day!
This soup was a just-add-water meal and I made it as the directions called for.
It thickened up nicely and would be perfect in a bread bowl! Maybe with the next batch I’ll do that. I liked it seasoned just as it came. Hubs added hot sauce. As usual.
