I was recently contacted by Paul Cooke from Raw TV about a new show they’re planning and I’m passing his information on to you all. Do you want to be a Frontier Mom or know someone who does? Here’s what he had to say:
I work for the TV production company Raw TV – we are the makers of the current hit Discovery show Gold Rush Alaska, which follows a group of men from Portland as they risk it all to mine for gold.
We are currently searching for individuals to take part in our next exciting network TV series ‘Frontier Moms’. We are looking for American families who are considering starting new lives for themselves in the great American wilderness and are willing to be followed throughout their experiences by our cameras. We are looking for strong women who have a keen interest in frontier-living and a pioneer spirit who would be willing to let us follow them and their children.
Have you always dreamed of making a new life for your family away from bureaucracy and the rat race and are about to make the decision to head to the wilderness? Are your family already living a ‘frontier’ life? Do you think that the wilderness is the best place to raise your children?
If you answer yes to any of these, or know someone who would – we would love to hear from you. Please email your contact details and your story to pioneers@rawtelevision.co.uk
Thanks so much for your time,
Paul

No, thank you for asking. No ones wants to watch as my whines turn to sobs.

Who wouldn’t want to, I just wish I could. There is the need of money to buy the property and make it semi-livable, hummm anyone want to give a gift of all the above? NO, darn…:)

Bummer – too bad I don’t have children. I’d sign up for this in a heartbeat!

Disasters – either natural or man-made – and the unstable economy should make the majority of American families go back to the traditional ways of our grandparents. When we face these calamities, there are cases where emergency providers or assistance could take a few days, around 72 hours, before they could get to where you are. In most cases, you are on your own for the time being.
