The soap is getting slightly harder this evening, so I thought I’d try and get it out of the mold again. I will be lining whatever molds I use next time with butcher paper or wax paper or something–this is ridiculous!
And here’s your WARNING: Never use a cheapo knife to try to pry soap out of a gladware container!
Keep preparing! Angela

Oh MY!! I hope you weren’t hurt trying do that!
Angela says
Amazingly not–although I have hurt myself doing other dumb things, this time I got lucky! :)
HermitJim says
Sorry, but I couldn’t help a little grin…
Could maybe a little olive oil in the glass ahead of time make for a better release? Just wondering…
Angela says
Yep HermitJim, all I could do was shake my head and laugh, then take a picture. ;)
Angela says
Oh yeah, and maybe oil would help, I don’t know if it would disturb the soap chemical reaction though . . .

lol bad but funny….ask Lisa how you pry apart frozen burger patties!
ConfessionsOfAnOverworkedMom says
If you try pouring the soup into candy molds, they should pop right out once they firm up. They make a wide variety of molds. That’s what we generally use.
Lisa says
I read to line your molds with wax paper if they are square, and for shaped ones you can spray with a cooking spray. I wouldnt think a thin coating of olive or vegetable oil would hurt the soap in anyway.
oh and lets not talk about seperating frozen burger patties :)

I think I have those cheapo knives!
Hope you are alright, and that the soap made it out… un-scathed.
