Hey all you in the Denver area–yes, mom, that means you–The Self Reliance Expo is coming to the National Western complex Friday and Saturday April 8-9. Yes, that’s the same place as the Stock Show every January. I did not get up to the Expo in Salt Lake last fall, but heard it was really worthwhile.
There should be some good classes to attend and lots of vendors trying to sell you stuff. I’m always a little wary of vendors–most are good honest folk, heck, I’ve been a vendor before. But remember to check pricing before you head down there so you don’t get fear-pressured into buying something for more than it’s worth! On the flip side, sometimes you can get a great deal on items at expos and fairs–just know what you’re looking for and what you’re willing to pay for it so you can know a good deal when you see it (and convince your better half that it really is the best price around).
So if you’ll be in the Denver area on April 8-9, stop on by the Self Reliance Expo and get a little better prepared. The tickets are only $7.00 if you pick them up online and that covers both days! Children 12 and under free. For more information, visit the Self Reliance Expo website.
