In lining up the National Preparedness Month giveaways, I was looking for products that fill a particular need, and this one is for the ladies and any of you men who happen to be attached to a lady (or have a daughter). What are your emergency plans for, well, you know . . . that time of the month? Have you stocked up on pads and tampons? Today’s giveaway is for an alternate method of containing the menstrual flow called the DivaCup menstrual cup. To be brief, it is a silicone cup that you insert like a non-applicator tampon and then empty, rinse, and re-insert as needed. It is reusable, and properly taken care of can last for many years, so you’ll only need one instead of boxes and boxes of tampons and pads. I know you’re dying of curiosity, so I’ll have a full review later today. In the meantime, you can enter to win your own DivaCup menstrual cup (or one for your lady friend or daughter). They come in two sizes–size one for under 30 year olds who have NOT delivered a baby, and size two for those over 30 OR who have delivered either vaginally or C-section. If you win, you get your choice of which size you’d like.
To enter, all you need to do is guess the mystery preparedness item pictured below. It is a preparedness item. If you have no idea, take your best guess. That will unlock more ways to enter like sharing this post or liking my facebook page. Please don’t guess in the comments–use the form so your entry will count and everyone has the same disadvantage! :) You can click the picture to make it bigger although it’s already super-close-and-bigger-than-life right here in the post. Sorry this one’s a little dark.
This giveaway will run through next Thursday, October 4th. Use the form below to enter–if it’s not showing up, click the Rafflecopter link to get to it. Thanks to DivaCup for sponsoring this giveaway!
Keep preparing! Angela

I have heard a lot of great things about these. In fact I had been debating if I should buy 4 of them. I have 3 daughters still living at home. I would love to win this to help us out with our preparedness feminine products is a biggy I fall short on supplies. Hugs, Bobbi Jo Nichols

Make sure to use the rafflecopter entry form to record your entries. :) It’s a great idea to have some for the girls in your life. I bought one for each of my girls even though we’re still a few years from needing anything for them.

Woohoo, 4 entries done! I love my DivaCup, having a backup will be great, I might even gift it to someone else. :)

I love my Diva Cup, but definitely recommend getting used to using one before you’re in a bug out or SHTF situation!

Ooooh, I really want to win!
Angela, I sent you an email about getting oxygen absorbers from LDS site. I have heard they are good and some other companies have less than stellar ones. Did you get the email?
Angela says
Sorry, email backlog! Just sent a response–thanks!

I use and prefer menstrual cups. I don’t have the Diva brand and would like one. Thanks for the giveaway!

It seems like menstrual cups have suddenly become all the rage — in the last few months, I’ve seen them advertised everywhere and I keep seeing reviews in lots of blogs, both prepper & non-prepper blogs all over the place. I just ordered one for myself a few weeks ago (different brand than DivaCup, so I’d be really excited to win and compare the two).

I absolutely LOVE my Diva cup, and I am so excited to see them in this give away! I’d love to win one, but if I don’t I KNOW whoever gets it will love it. Since using one a Diva cup for the last 2 years, I will never go back to any other menstrual product. Diva cup is quick, simple, and can easily be used in a public or private restroom. They are PERFECT for a SHTF scenario! :)

Yes, there are different sizes. Each brand of menstrual cup will vary, but the Diva Cup comes in two sizes–one for younger than 30 and no vaginal births, and the other for over 30 or post-vaginal birth. You can find them on Amazon–I believe under $30 each.
