Our friends at Emergency Essentials are having a 25% off sale on their Mountain House #10 cans this month.  They sent me some Mountain House samples to review for you all and I was able to take them on my camping trip last week.

Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki With Rice

I love that Mountain House meals are so quick and easy to cook.  Just boil water, put the dry mix in and let it sit 10-15 minutes until it is all re-hydrated.  You don’t need to keep your water boiling after putting the mix in, just the hot water is enough.  If you’re feeling a bit adventurous like my crazy uncle, you can just eat it dry and crunchy right out of the can.

Definitely easy enough to take on any excursion into the outdoors or cook when you’re needing something quick and easy.  And with a shelf life of 25 years, you can always have some ready to go.  They have main dishes, breakfasts, and even desserts.

I really like the Turkey Tetrazzini, Hearty Beef Stew, and Chicken a la King.  Chicken Teriyaki was okay, but isn’t going on the favorite list.

Emergency Essentials is also having a giveaway on their Facebook page to promote this Mountain House sale, so head on over there and sign up for a chance to win a one month supply of freeze dried and dehydrated foods.  And yes, the one month pack includes some Mountain House cans.  Let me know if you win!
